If you play Mah Jongg, you have probably missed all the camaraderie and competition that goes along with playing with a group of friends or in a tournament. THE MAH JONGG TOURNAMENT is here to give you the best of both in a safe environment while we navigate through these uncertain Covid virus times. We are hoping that soon we will all be able to play again in person - for now let’s have fun and play safely!

 

THE MAH JONGG TOURNAMENT is now hosting our 5th online tournament and we are thrilled that we have created a wonderful community of MahJonggers! This 4-Round event using the NMJL 2021 card has tournament scoring and assigned tables that will change after each round of 4 games are completed.

PLEASE NOTE: this is a skilled and timed tournament. You need (1) to be proficient in the use of the RealMahJongg.com online game; (2) be able to complete four games within the 60-minute timeframe for each round; and (3) be able to participate in the Zoom gatherings at the beginning and end of the tournament.

We encourage our tournament players to use the voice chat microphone now available on the Real Mah Jongg app for computers and tablets to communicate more easily during the tournament. Please let us know if you need assistance.

 

 
This tournament is being conducted by the Sisterhoods of Congregation Beth Israel in Greenville, South Carolina and Congregation B’nai Torah in Ormond Beach, Florida. The proceeds from this event will be used to benefit our congregations.

In THE MAH JONGG TOURNAMENT, you will virtually be at a table playing with other tournament MahJonggers, like yourself, having fun and winning prizes. Finally, the FUN and COMPETITION are back in Mah Jongg.
